The in-between days #1
In the spirit of 'not giving a hoot' and 'just going for it' I decided to put a comic diary I made a few years ago on Tapastic. Tapastic.com is a website where proper comic artists can publish their work and readers subscribe. So my thinking was that if proper artists can do it, then a rank idiot-amateur like myself can also do it - for a bit of fun.
My comic diary is called The In-between Days as it's a diary of what I did during a very special time in my life; I'd left my proper job and was working for a school, whilst running an after-school club. This was a few years before I had my little girl. Some of the content is fairly crude, and there's a lot of swearing, so sorry about that! You can also see what a spoilt brat I was. Thankfully things have changed since I made this comic, so Mr Husband is a lot less burdened! I'm gradually adding episodes onto Taptastic.com. Have a look on their website. You can find my comic under the category 'slice of life' (or search for Didi Von Stone), but there are lots of FAR better PROFESSIONAL comics on there, which are well worth looking at.
Here's the first episode
The Film Club Disaster
This is great! You are a woman of many talents :-) I'm a big comic reader! These comics remind me of the ones that you get on the calendars - do you know which ones I mean?
ReplyDeleteAh thanks Natalie, but I have a severe lack of comic talent, but I just love comics and doodling! I think you don't have to be good at something to do it. Ha ha! Thanks for your lovely comments xxxx
DeleteYes, I can just imagine that all happening to you! Love your cartoons, so sweet! Xx
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I was so focused on the tea set! Totally clueless. Xxx
DeleteThank god it's not just me, every time I get on a train I realise I've not done enough checking! My eyes get bigger and bigger as it dawns on me, then I have to be cool! Thank you so much for your comment! Xxxx
